Remember Who You Are
Happiness lies in the eye of the beholder.
What do you do to create your own self-image or happiness? We often rely on others or outside influences to create our happiness. Sharing experience and time with others is wonderful, but if you find it is a constant source of all your happiness then what happens if it goes away? Who are you without others? We are all in a constant state of change - the ebb and flow of life. Sustainable happiness is a practice of witnessing all the small miracles around us every day. The sun, the rain, the sky, people laughing, people being kind and self-awareness. The list is a very personal and individual experience as to what makes Y-O-U happy! Comparing yourself to another’s happiness or your perception of what they let the world see will only leave you frustrated and envious. You have your own journey as do they. Journeys cannot be duplicated. Enjoy the greatness in you and enjoy the process of getting to know and celebrate all that you are.

Saturn is no longer working behind the scenes, beginning the shift into Aries this month. Another planet straddling the threshold between the end and beginning of the zodiac. Saturn has been paddling through the Piscean waters since early March 2023, teaching us about paradox and how to contain and create structure around the formless. This terroir shift will bring a new spark and direct our attention to the self rather than the collective, the warrior within and bring seriousness to our Martian drive to ignite intention and passion with fierce devotion. Since Neptune is co-present in early Aries, and both Neptune and Saturn will be awkwardly learning new dance moves together on the late-Pisces/early-Aries dancefloor, we’ll be challenged to feel into rather than precisely define the overall experience for many months to come. It’s a good idea to be receptive, vigilant of your boundaries and whole-heartedly trusting your intuition at this time.
Here are important dates for the month:
May 2nd - Venus and Neptune meet up in Aries for the first time in any of our lifetimes! A new divine spark may be ignited in your heart. The Mars retrograde post-shadow period also ends on the 2nd.
May 4th - May the force be with you as Pluto retrograde begins!
May 10th - Mercury enters Taurus
May 12th - Scorpio Full Moon (12:55 p.m. ET)
May 15th - Jupiter in Gemini squares the nodes of the moon in Pisces and Virgo
May 16th - Venus retrograde post-shadow period ends
May 17th - Uranus and the sun embrace in Taurus for the last time for another 80+ years
May 20th - Gemini season begins
May 24th - Saturn hangs his lantern in early Aries shining a dim light near the hearth looking for Neptune (this preview period will last until September 1st)
May 25th - Mercury enters Gemini
May 26th - New Moon in Gemini (11:02 p.m. ET)
May 30th - Mercury cazimi in Gemini (the midpoint of the Mercury cycle that began in Aries during the retrograde on March 24th)
A wave of calm washed over me when I dove into the transits and cosmic energy of May. Although there are still big shifts happening, new chapters beginning and others closing, it all feels way less intense relative to the last several months. Revisit the message and the self inquiries in the Remember Who You Are card’s guidance throughout the month.
