🐍 The Rebirth of Ursa Alchemy
An Aquarius new moon, a new lunar year and another rebirth!
Greetings!
I am honored, grateful and excited about today’s post and announcement. Today’s message contains reflection, poetry, updates, important links and what’s on the horizon.
January has been a wildly dynamic month. Honestly, it’s already felt like an entire year. I’ve been back in a chrysalis for most of it, giving myself the space and grace to feel and move through another metamorphosis. I’ve been reflecting on and deeply grieving a tremendous amount of loss. The decision to end Sea Goddess Healing Arts operations and news about the death of my aunt, my Mom’s only sister, occurred on the same day in late December just before the solstice. None of it was incredibly surprising to me, however it’s been quite some time since I’ve grieved this much and it’s a journey, a rollercoaster and different every time, especially when coupled with the holiday season.
As a devout student of Astrology since 2017, and of the Cosmos my entire life, I’m constantly reminded of the divine timing behind this human experience. It was just one month after Pluto’s permanent ingress into my tenth house in late November (career, work, public image, etc.) that The Tower moment came and I’m here admiring all the pieces and carefully putting them back together in a new way. It’s a beautiful synchronicity that I’m announcing Ursa Alchemy’s rebirth on the same day as the nodal shift, an Aquarius new moon and a new lunar year. Here we go from the dragon to the snake! Ursa Alchemy was born under the Aquarius new moon in early February 2019. Wow!
I’ve been diligently focused and working on regrouping, polishing the website, my services and offerings, and rededicating attention to Ursa Alchemy. It really has felt like sorting and sifting through a heap of pieces, sifting through my content and memories and realizing how neglected she’d become over the last few years. She got a little lost in the Sea Goddess chapter. It all brings me to a place of gratitude for the death and rebirth process. On that topic, I’d like to share a poem I wrote last January, which was featured in our Sea Goddess Healing Arts February Soul Broadcast ~ Loving Yourself Through a Dark Night of the Soul.
The Plutonic Process by Ursula Duffy
A dark pool’s Edge
is a threshold
a crossroads
it’s curious
mysterious
intimidating
unknown and a little sexy.
Echoes of Soul are faint and inaudible,
experiencing them requires diving deeply.
Diving deeply can be a choice,
or
sometimes life’s push.
It matters not the method
by which the pool is entered,
what matters is being inside
meeting oneself there
embracing oneself there
inside the imaginal realm,
into the unknown depths
inside of one’s
Subconscious
Unconscious
the Underneath, the Roots of one’s being.
The journey within requires
Courage
Grit
Bravery
Compassion
Brutal Honesty
Patience
Strength
and Surrender
Breathing underwater for as long as it takes.
Destructive forces pick at
and peel away
still-attached scabs
untouched layers
revealing secrets deeply known
yet still hidden,
discovered and cherished
to become parts
of the reconstruction
oneself reassembled
marinating and congealing
resurfacing anew.
Bolder. Wiser. Familiar yet Unfamiliar. Metamorphosed. Purified. Alchemized.
Dead. Reborn.
Remember, Love, allow your new parts to dry
before you fly.
2024 was most definitely a very fluid dark night of the soul experience, perfectly aligned with Pluto’s dance over the top of my own chart, purifying and transforming and luring into the chrysalis as it usually does. The action and severing also came in perfect diving timing with the current Mars retrograde dancing over the bottom of my own chart, the root of it all. Pluto and Mars opposing each other and dragging me to the threshold and initiation. I’m still very much in the cocoon, steeping with the imaginal cells and meditating with them. I’m still very much feeling out this new direction and chapter of my life regarding my work. I know in my heart that it all happened for reasons beyond what I can understand now. I also know in my heart all that has fallen away has gifted me the space to be and to create something new. It’s The Fool’s journey repeating again.
